Life among sheep

Katrin Mooney

One of my dreams has always been to have a small herd of goats, sheep & chickens (and maybe a pig) happily roam the pasture. Only our property borders the woods, the hawks & foxes killed quite a few chickens last time we tried .... despite having their coop secured like a small Fort Knox. That and having a pig would almost certainly mean the end of us eating bacon (or anything pork really) and would most likely result in the pig moving in with us.

So instead, I greatly enjoy our neighbors sheep, who are now back on pasture and come up right to the property line. They're super cute and not phased by our dogs in the slightest.

Happy Spring!

Back from vacation and right into foliage season

Katrin Mooney

Foliage season is probably my favorite season of the year. Warm afternoons, the smell of foliage, long hikes with the dogs, hot apple cider and ... color. Beautiful fall foliage color.

We did, however, also jump back into business and created a couple of awesome fall themed soaps. We made a pumpkin soap with organic pumpkin and even tried our hands on a Kombucha soap with an actual SCOBY. Next thing for us is to see if we can incorporate these leaves into a soap and also finalize the fall/winter lineup with some amazing new additions.

We'll be updating the shop shortly so in the meantime, enjoy some beautiful colors.

Election Day!

Katrin Mooney

As a naturalized citizen, I'm always excited to vote so last night, I sat down with my little last of candidates that I was on the fence about, researched them and made my selection. Today, I'm going to take that little list to our little town hall and cast my vote. Doesn't matter if we agree or disagree on a certain topic but the important part is this - Get out and vote. It's an incredible opportunity to shape our democracy.

Welcome to the new website & blog!

Katrin Mooney

Woot! After over a year of planning, drafting, creating new products, product descriptions, product photography and tons of labor, love and time ... we're finally here!

The new home of Vermont Cowgirl! With our own shop, blog & website all in one place!

So exciting and we thank you so much for being part of our little Vermont Cowgirl family. Our friends & family tested & provided feedback like champions and we couldn't have done this without you. Thank you to our loyal customers who made due with our old Etsy Shop in the meantime and our loyal wholesale customers, who placed orders and reached out despite our less than polished appearance.

Going forward, here's what you can expect from us: plenty of updates & photos about Life in Vermont, new product launches as we're going from season to season and old favorites that will be back soon ... like our famous Vermont Cowgirl Chocolate Body Butter.

Coming back to the store in October.
